We all have dreams that we want to pursue, something that lights us up when we think about it. For many it could be a profession, a job or a calling. When you think of it, it fills you up with excitement, it gives you purpose and makes you feel alive. Yet so many of us find ourselves powerless to take action, sometimes even that one step forward, to move in the direction of our dreams seems impossible.entrepreneur, Entrepreneureship, Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs Stories, Voice of the Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Blog, Entrepreneurs Blog, your fear

Why is that? And what stops us cold in our tracks?

FEAR Voice of the entrepreneur, Entrepreneurs

In my last post I wrote about the different types of fear I believe exist that operate on a conscious or subconscious level that stop us from being where we want to be. In this post I wanted to talk about which fears specifically stop us from getting there.entrepreneur, Entrepreneureship, Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs Stories, Voice of the Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Blog, Entrepreneurs Blog, your fear
When it comes to starting a business, especially an online business I have seen 3 major fears that just stop us dead in our tracks: The Fear of Failure, the Fear of the Unknown and the Fear of Judgment or Rejection. This is why I made this video to show how these fears are perceptions in our minds and why you CAN overcome them.

When I started anyone of my businesses I had these fears. All of them. And yes I failed, I faced the unknown and I faced rejection (at times) but what I learned from those experience can be rounded up as follows:

  • Every attempt and the failures along the way taught me that my fears of failure were more scary than the failures themselves.
  • The more I attempted the less I failed and the less fearful I became.
  • The more I stepped into the unknown the more I realized how much I didn’t know but I also realized how much I did
  • Every time I came across something I didn’t know, I realized I could learn it and the impossible seemed possible.
  • For every rejection I faced I learned that rejections were never directed towards me but merely what I was providing was not suitable for who I was providing it to.

In general, I understood that my fears were unfounded and what I feared would happen never did happen. Every turn taught me something but it never lived up to fear I created in my mind in the first place.entrepreneur, Entrepreneureship, Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs Stories, Voice of the Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Blog, Entrepreneurs Blog, your fear

Fears are rooted in how we see ourselves and the perception of how we see the world. As Albert Einstein said, “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.” As simple as this may sound it is deeply profound since this questions dictates the experience we have, either of abundance or of scarcity, throughout our lifetime.entrepreneur, Entrepreneureship, Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs Stories, Voice of the Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Blog, Entrepreneurs Blog, your fear
